primary teaching ??

Hello ..........
I was recently rejected for a place at the University of East Anglia for primary teaching. Due to numbers no reason was given however I was later in conversation with a headteacher who knows the university well she told me that because of my dyslexia I would never be given a place in teacher training mostly because of doubts about my maths skills.

Is this right and if so do I have other routes into primary teaching apart from Universities?

By the way i have three degrees, two from the University of East Anglia, three years experience of being in a primary school and have attended the associate students programme again at the University of East Anglia.
